Company Profile

Outside the workshopAdvanced Alloy Wheel Repairs began 12 years ago with 2 partners, one with a background in aircraft repair and the other a panel beating and automotive background. The partners realised there was a demand and market for insurance companies, car retailers and repairers, tyre retailers and private consumers who required restoration work / repair to their alloy wheels.

Today, a different proprietor owns the business with a background in the automotive wrecking industry. The business employs in excess of twenty staff members and has developed purpose-refitted premises at 3 Nellbern Road Moorabbin. Utilising customised machinery, specialised and separate working areas, Advanced Alloy Wheel Repairs restore and repair in excess of 10,000 wheels per annum.

Advanced Alloy Wheel Repairs is seen as an industry “one stop shop” wheel repair facility, servicing the many and varied requirements of all facets of the automotive industry with a full and dedicated service: pick up, safety checking, processing and return and delivery all completed traced and tracked in house.

Work VanAdvanced Alloy Wheel Repairs maintains a high standard of workmanship and performs only cosmetic repairs to non-structural parts of the wheel rim. We will not repair or weld spokes of the like as this proves to be ineffective and dangerous down the track. (Advanced Alloy Wheel Repairs is fully aware that some smaller companies have repaired wheels that we have declined, returned and advised to a client, should not be repaired on safety grounds). Advanced Alloy Wheel Repairs is proud to say that we have never had a wheel come back to us for any structural reasons as we have always replaced them. Advanced Alloy Wheel Repairs will always err towards the side of safety; this is our standard practice work procedure. Safety is the key factor that has successfully kept out business in operation for 12 years.

It is with regard to the importance of this safety issue, that Advanced Alloy Wheel Repairs has recently instigated, and is presently working in conjunction with, the VACC, to develop and accredited set of standard industry working practices and procedures being required to be met by all Victorian wheel repairers, as is already being utilised and practiced in most parts of the Western World.
